What motivates me to create is my emotional response to a subject. When I see the way sunlight plays on a landscape or the unsurpassed beauty of a flower, it moves me emotionally and I want to capture that reaction in paint. The most consistent elements in my work are simple shapes and harmonious colors. I want to express to the viewer a unique perspective of life by telling my story, using the language of paint and brush.
