This is my latest painting and was inspired by our last trip to Maui. I'm going again this year and can't wait. We swam here and I nearly got smashed into the sand by a wave. The sand dipped quickly which caused larger waves to come up close to the shore. I used a palette knife to paint this piece and it has an actual sand feel to the beach. Check it out: Maui painting
