WJ Original Paintings
This piece was inspired by a local paragliding race called the Rat Race. It was painted with very thick paint and has a broken stucco texture to it. The parasails are hand sculpted by me with wire form and then I applied gold veining to them. Very pretty gold, copper, and blues. The paragliders were painted with a very thick clear acrylic dripped onto the canvas and then blue paint was dripped over top of that.
