A New painting from a new First Nations Spirituality Series I'm working on.
This series is an exploration and interpretation in abstract where I'm working toward expressing the struggles of the Native Americans, in this case particular to women, and their struggles to keep their spirituality and sense of self with strength and integrity.
La Malinche is the path opener, cleansing and blessing the path. This concept is specific to the Mexican/Chicana/Indiana of the south and southwest.
